Wadoryu Karate is a combination of old Japanese Shindo Yoshin Ryu Ju-Jutsu and Karate from Okinawa. Hironori Ōtsuka combined the principles of these two martial arts. This combination has made Wadoryu Karate a very unique style of karate. These principles of traditional martial arts are still strongly reflected in Wadoryu Karate techniques and training.
